Guillermo Barros Schelotto gave Columbus a 2-1 lead in the 82nd minute by knocking in the rebound of a penalty kick.

But Eric Avila scored three minutes into stoppage time give FC Dallas share of the points, 2-2.

Columbus (1-0-1) has a bye week next week, with its next MLS fixture against Real Salt Lake on April 24, while Dallas is at Red Bull New York next Saturday.
