03/06/2010 - Glasgow, Scotland (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Lee McCulloch's brace allowed Rangers to claim a 3-1 win over St Mirren at the Ibrox Stadium on Saturday, stretching the club's lead atop the Scottish Premier League table to 13 points.
Graham Carey scored a surprising opening goal for the visitors on the half- hour mark, but McCulloch responded two minutes later for the home side to level the match.
McCulloch scored again one minute after the restart, and Nacho Novo secured the win with his fifth goal of the campaign 12 minutes from time.
Rangers could have opened the scoring when a free kick from Steven Davis came back off the crossbar, leaving the rebound to Sasa Papac, but he too was denied by the woodwork as his shot from six yards struck the post.
Instead, it was the visitors who took the lead as Carey scored from a free kick 25 yards from goal after Michael Higdon was fouled by David Weir.
Rangers needed just two minutes to level the match with Kevin Thomson playing a dangerous free kick into the area which resulted in McCulloch collecting a loose ball and firing home from eight yards.
McCulloch then scored his second goal of the game less than one minute after the restart when Kris Boyd nodded a ball on for Kenny Miller, who played it into the path of McCulloch to shoot past the goalkeeper.
The result was put out of reach 12 minutes from time with Davis playing a free kick to the back post for Novo to redirect past goalkeeper Paul Gallacher.
Aberdeen finished 1-1 with Hamilton, Derek Riordan's goal 12 minutes from time allowed Hibernian to beat Kilmarnock, 1-0, while Motherwell got a goal from John Sutton in the 86th minute to beat St Johnstone, 2-1.
